What this page covers
Compatool is a public website operated by the maintainers of the compatool repository. This page describes what data we collect when you visit the site, what we do with it, and how to contact us about it.
What we collect
- Server logs from Cloudflare for each request — IP address, user agent, the URL requested, response status, and timestamp. Cloudflare retains these as part of its standard logging window.
- No tracking cookies are set by Compatool itself. We do not run third-party analytics, retargeting pixels, or fingerprinting.
- Outbound links to vendor websites are direct. The vendor may set their own cookies once you arrive on their site, governed by their own policy.
What we don't collect
We do not run user accounts, email capture forms, or live chat on the public site at this time. If that changes, this page is updated before the form ships.
Data subject requests
To request access to or deletion of any data we hold about you, open an issue on the public repository or email the maintainer listed there. Because the only personal data we receive is your IP in our edge logs, most requests are handled by purging the relevant Cloudflare log range.
